Abdul Kadir Hussain - Managing Director, Mashreq Capital

Abdul Kadir Hussain joined Mashreq in April 2006 as Head of Mashreq Capital, a DIFC entity.

He is responsible for establishing, and running its two primary lines of business - brokerage on the DIFX and Asset Management within the DIFC, managing the first ever Fixed Income Hedge fund to be incorporated within the DIFC. This fund will invest in Global Emerging Markets. His team is also involved in portfolio management for the Makaseb Income Fund - an income fund seeking income growth by investing in a diversified portfolio of fixed and floating rate investments originating from countries in the GCC, MENA, South Asia and other emerging economies.

Abdul Kadir Hussain has been working in banking & financial industry for 21 years. Prior to joining Mashreq he has worked in senior positions at Credit Suisse First Boston, London for Fixed Income Trading, Non-US Credit Research & Asian Credit Research.

Hussain holds a BS in Economics from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Business Administration from the Anderson School at UCLA. He is a CFA Charter holder.
